Our simple 3-step process is time-tested, and very easy to understand:

• We start with a "discovery session", during which we get to know you, your organization, and especially the project you are researching (or developing).
• We then create a detailed "Product Requirements Document" (PRD) and give you time to review it.  We enter a back-and-forth process, during which the PRD is poked and prodded by you, and by us, until it perfectly describes exactly what you need done.
• We then create a detailed Proposal, based on the PRD.  The proposal simply outlines the parameters of our engagement.  In the proposal, we ESTIMATE the time we think it will take to complete the project.  (Hey, even the best software developers in the world can't tell the future!  We are pretty accurate, and if the project gets down to our estimate, we are very shy about billing for overages - we like to be right about our estimates!)  The estimate is to give you an idea of what we think it will take to complete.  We are usually pretty conservative in our estimates.

Once we begin work, we hold weekly status meetings using GoToMeeting (by Citrix).  This allows you to view work that's been done, provide feedback, and generally stay informed of our progress.

We provide weekly invoices for work done.  Our rates range from $150/hour to $225/hour, depending on the type of work done and the size of the project.  (Larger projects typically have lower rates.)
